According to a survey conducted by Career Builder many US companies are recruiting contract workers over full-time permanent positions as a solution to quickly support a leaner workforce.  Contract to hire is an especially great fit for the IT industry:  specialized projects with an often pre-determined life cycle make IT positions particularly well-suited to staffing via contract and contract to hire. Contract to hire is a post-recession trend in the IT industry that appears to be growing.  So what should you know?

As 2012 comes to an end, we’ve noticed an interesting trend. The demand for Database Administrators is on the rise, expected to reach 30 percent growth by 2020, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In fact, CNN Money recently ranked Database Administration number 8 for job growth.

But, what’s fueling the growth? And why, all of the sudden, do so many companies need Database Administrators? Trends suggest increased adoption of cloud computing may be a factor.

This SQL script produces front-end ADO called a function by a stored procedure name. By default the script will process all user stored procedures and generate an ADO function for each procedure. If you need to specify the stored procedures, just uncomment “– and name in (‘list _proc’)” line — then list the desired procedures.  Please click below for download:

Most people in the software industry understand that unit testing is beneficial and can reduce the amount of time needed to debug complex problems; however, finding software where unit testing has been performed always seems to be a challenge.  Unit testing allows software developers to test an individual software requirement, method, or module, to determine if each unit performs as expected.  Ideally, each unit test is specific to one task, allowing a software developer to quickly drill down to identify the source when test failures occur.
